Dawn of carnivores explains animal boom in distant past
This is an interesting study. To me though it just shows that at one time the oxygen levels were much higher. We assume that today's conditions are ideal for life. A person from the distant past though may wonder that we find it natural to live in a world so toxic to life. What if ideal conditions would result in people living 10 times as long as they do now. Can you imagine conditions that would cause people to die at 6 years old? Wouldn't that be considered toxic? And yet perhaps at one time in the past conditions were such that the oxygen in the atmosphere were higher and it resulted in people living to be 900 years old. Anyway I don't believe in an evolutionary arms race. The article seems to be saying that at one time every animal on earth existed. Isn't that what the Bible says?
