I've been watching a show called universe on Netflix.    It's a show about space and the cosmos and astronomical Ideas.  Every episode ends with them telling us how lucky we are that the earth is able to support life.  This isn't a christian show as far as I know and yet the conclusion they keep coming to is how lucky we are. I think that's probably the second lesson to be learned from astronomy.  We are very lucky and God loved us so much to create such a perfect place.  The earth is just the perfect distance from the sun for life to be possible.  The sun is just the right distance from the center of the galaxy.  Without the moon the earth would wobble so much that sometimes Africa could end up being the North Pole.
Everything contributes to making this the perfect place to live.  I guess that was all worked out when God decided to put people here.   There are probably beings on other planets who are also well off and have their planets situated just right.  So I guess all this just is evidence that we didn't just end up here by chance.  I mean it's possible but extremely unlikely.  If its all just chance and we evolved then chances are that we would be just dirt molecules on a lifeless planet orbiting a sun at the wrong distance from the sun.  On a planet with way to much gravity or way too little to have an atmosphere.   Well I guess its possible that the laws of physics are such that the odds aren't so bad that life will form.  Perhaps the laws of physics make it extremely likely that a planet will form at just the right distance from the star.  And that there will be a Giant planet like Jupiter to protect a the special planet from asteroids.  Perhaps it's even likely that there will be a moon around the planet to keep it from wobbling.  It may be that the universe is so disposed in such a way that life can form by chance and that the chances of it forming on its own are very good.  But if the laws of physics are such that life forms by it's self then it seems that someone must have worked really hard on making the laws of physics work so well.   Anyway scientists themselves seem surprised and seem to feel that we are lucky and they know a lot better than I do what the odds are.

Weird Trick for Making Great Art.

Draw finished drawings right from the start. This is only a trick and not really what you would think of as something a pro would do however. It works because random thoughtless art is better than most artists techniques and hard work. You can think things through and through but for most artists they aren't going to improve on random chance. There probably is a technique that improves on random chance but I'm not sure I've figured it out and I'm not sure anyone has. Anyway Travis Charest would draw finished art right from the start and it looked amazing. It saved time too. Stick figures are good if you are just learning and they are always good but so is finished drawings right from the start because the less you erase and the more precise your lines the easier it is to draw the next line in the perfect spot. Fish Tank Optics.

Why does the far side of a fish tank appear closer than it is when it's full of water? The reason is that the light-waves while in the tank radiate in a circular manner when they leave the tank they are now radiating in a non-circular manner.  The planes of those waves will hit your eyes at a vastly different ways.  One eye will see the fish straight on while the other eye will see it sideways.  As a result it's possible that in a way the fish will actually appear to be outside the tank.    Perhaps that would explain the somewhat queezy feeling you can get while looking into a fish-tank.  One eye will see the plane of one light wave while the other eye will see the plane of another.  It's not that the light bends is it?   It's more like the wave front is at an odd angle.   Where the light at first radiated spherically it is now radiating as an ellipsoid or Jelly bean shape.  Here I'm showing a cross section so that it appears as ellipses.   I think using
